2001 sunfire gtp



LOL id take that interior if it was blue and black, but that this is just a disaster, and still a 4 banger, so I behind my tinted windows you make think im Asian, till I step that thing down ;)
 
been a while but heres a quick update, i ended up moving 3 provinces over, and left the car at my parents, i bought an aeroforce scan guage and a 3.4 pulley, car will be towed to my nw place in december, purchased an ssbc rear disk conversion and 2 piston upgrade for the fronts for $800 cad, will be going to a swap meet on oct 10th and hoping to pick up a turbonetics t66 from a grand national for around $500, then the car will be a turbo swap
 
hoping to run around 15 psi, ill be building my whole kit myself with some buddies, going with turbonetics wastegate and bov, get a discount from work, the grand national runs a weird mounting playe tho, wish it was t3/t4 but oh well, hp yeahhhh, going with a new clutch disk too, stage 3+ from spec
 


so little update again, guy wanted $1000 for a used turbo from a drag only grand national, was too risky for my pocket book, so going to either A) save up and do the zzp cash thing till i save up enough to buy a kit, or build a kit piece by piece, either way its about the same price, except exchange rates and shipping, will start uploading pics in january when the car is here and i start doing the brake conversion and hoarding turbo parts
 
car finally got here in january, drove it 2-3 times and broke flywheel bolts again so i pulled the motor, got everything arp'd, motor is back in, should have first start up this week, will post new motor pics as its completely changed, no more green/blue, front brake kit is on, and next step is installing the water meth and smaller pulley, will be posting pics soon
 
im finally back and posting again, motor was pulled after about 4 drives to work, expected knock on the green/ blue motor that was built, turns out, ive broken my 3rd set of flywheel bolts so hes some rebuild pics








 
found out the original short block i used on the original build had .30 over pistons, so motor was arp'd everywhere possible so if i do go turbo i wont have to tear down, bottom end fully balanced with flywheel, and all new bearings, bottom end was line honed, polished crank, trued rods, hot tanked, and honed i also have a watermeth kit sitting in my garage ready to go on, motor has been reinstalled for about 3 months now but i havent fired it up, i will be waiting till spring due to limited light and no heat in my garage, then i will be doing body work and getting the car saftied and back on the road
 


Car never had ac when i bought it, still had all the lines and condeser etc, ripped all that out a while ago lol
