• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

2001 sunfire gtp

yeah rear looked stock to me, but front looks like a plog style, anyways yeah speed daddys website or i can get speed daddys on ebay

hmm where are they located? i found out zzp is either closer or faster than intense, ordered my cam and chain from intense just got it today, ordered from zzp like 5 days later and i got that stuff 2 days ago lol

meh worth a shot aha, i need new tires once im done this build lol, or im using my old snow tires from my previous sunfire as drag slicks..

Picture of said PLOG?

Your car isn't dictated by pulley size...it's figured by the ability that it can flow.

Just because so&so's car can run a 3.0" and a cam with headers...doesn't mean your car can...it might only allow a 3.4".

That's why you start with the larger pulley...and work your way down.

Knock is exponentially greater as the pulley size gets smaller...that's how it works.

You need to research more before just tossing "X" mod with "Y" pulley at it and praying...otherwise you'll be right where you are now, after you build another motor.

I know everyone won't agree with me but I wouldn't waste your time on speed daddy headers I am running same 3.3 pulley and tune on my plog dp as I was on the eBay headers and I don't have any kr...bumped up my timing a couple degrees and still no kr...but that's just my opinion lol

i never got a picture lastnight and wont be home this weekend, but monday ill get a picture for you, if i have the space id get headers, but i dont know how much space i have available/how much the headers take up

If he has a plog I wouldn't spend the money on the headers...they have fitment issues in a wbody would be willing to get firewall is alot tighter on the sunfire

firewall doesnt seem to be the issue, but i only have my eyes to go by, the issue i may run into is the front set being too close to the rad support/rad itself, its tight in this car...

I never had issues.

We've installed half a dozen sets.

Even put expensive TOG/WBS/ZZP headers on cars...none are perfect and all have their crappy parts.

Trust me.

If you're worried about space, buy a 3" shorty downpipe from ZZP, and bolt it on the rear manifold (you can buy a ported rear I think still...or do it yourself, easily) and have the rest of the room made via custom exhaust.

the rear isnt bad, its the front, because manis/plog drop down then loop around the motor where headers kinda go towards the rad and then around, looks like it may be tight, and as for the rear, if i have any issues ill cut, grind and weld

The PLOG is as good as it's going to get.

You'll never make a PEM as good as a PLOG.

My only other suggestion to you would be to get a crappy set of headers and hack up the front and make it fit to the crossover.

i guess ill have to wait till i get the motor back in to measure or just order and pray to god lol, im gunna be doing the balance shaft delete but i cant find any good threads with pictures on a how to for dummies lol
