2001 SE cleans a WRX

my aunt had a C4. drove it and the car was slow and not what a corvette should feel like. parked it, gave her the keys back, said 'meh', and went on my merry way. my grand prix would have murdered it under all conditions.

I didn't want to post my thoughts because I know someone would beg to differ. I'm not going to argue with you because there is no Dyno sheet. But I've seen stock LT1's run 290 whp on a dyno. Not every engine is the same out of the factory. In fact many late LT1s do 270 whp. My car isn't exactly modded to a high extent but it should come close to those numbers.

I've done my research, and I should be doing 115 in the eight!!!!!

not trying to argue just saying i doubt it, im sure its possible. you have to remember you have an A4 as well, the m6's dyno much better. also just to give you a point of reference, my 98 SS camaro with an m6 which are 315fhp stock, dynoed over 280rwhp with a cutout and lid. had 50k miles at the time and was right in line with what other 98 ss's were getting. dynojet too. now other people were hitting over 300rwhp stock, some even 315-320. so i coulda made the same argument before getting dynoed, yeah my car will do 315rwhp look at this guy who did it stock.

I understand your view but you have to understand my car isn't exactly stock so who knows. Me saying that stock LT1s have dynoed 270-290 was just an example, nothing more. It could do over 280 for all I know. As I said, it's my educated guess. My guess comes from research and other publicized dyno test in magazines and other forums of both my car and it's mods. Until I dyno it, which won't happen for a long time, I will never know. This car runs strong and has ran faster than other applications that it wasn't supposed to.

Also, the A4 in these cars have been tested with the M6 applications and many cars only saw a 2 whp loss. Which also leads me to my guesstimation.

As I said, there is no dyno slip so I'm not sure and can't prove anything. But, I'm not just throwing a ridiculous number out there.
