2001 grand prix hard to start

I have 2001 grand prix gt with 3800. Every time I have to start it it don't mater if the motor is hot or cold it hard to start I have to cycle the key on and off then it start.the fuel pressure is 54lbs when u first turn the key on then the fuel pressure drops to about 20lbs. Is my fuel pump going bad? When I cleaned my tb out started perfectly for one day then it went back to hard starts. So is it my fuel pump or something else ?

Buy a new fuel pressure regulator.

Thats your problem.

Replaced the fuel pressure regulator still have the problem
what alse could it be?

Pressure test the reg with a vac pump.

If thats fine, afaik, there is supposed to be a check valve in the fuel pump.

It was the fuel pump replaced the fuel pump and it starts awesome.
