just got a 2001 grand prix gtp and pass side wheel bearing is bad i want to change myself cause its $375 to take it to repair shop. i watched a video on replacing the whole hub assembly wondering how difficult it will b. i have replaced my own brake pads and struts without a problem so wondering how hard this will b. need suggestions to help thru this if needed ...thanks Big Daddy

It's basically one step past doing brake rotors, so you should be fine. Did you have any questions about anything you saw in the video or did you understand it all?

Like Explicit says.

It's pull the caliper and bracket, hanging the caliper on the strut spring with zip tie or wire etc. Remove axle nut, pop axle back in with a hammer, remove 3 bolts and it's electrical connector. Overall there's a few taps with a hammer etc but it's not a hard job.

i have a couple parts stores near me NAPA AND O'RIELLY orielly has Masterpro hub assembly #513179 for $90 is that part ok to use

most will say only use timken or one other brand I can't think of. I use cheap ones with good luck.

I'd go with a SKF bearing from napa. Better quailty.

But that 90 dollar bearing could last longer than the other, its always a chance with parts. Thats where warranty comes into play.

Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of ****. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.
