Ok had a tap so I changed the LIM gasket and lifters (tap still there) sounds like it's definately valvetrain, any ideas? Not a total waste of time got the updated gaskets and new lifters! Also under normal driving conditions the car drives fine Great! in fact but when I step it down accelerates normally till about 4000 rpms then it seems to surge power on and off like the fuel pressure is fluctuating. Any suggestions? No SES light and no missfires. like I said car performs great normally but I HATE that tap and accelleration issue it is really annoying. Appreciate your time and thaughts just wondered if any1 had these same experiences. Thanks!

when you removed the pushrods to changed the LIM gaskets, did you allow the oil to bleed from under them and torque the rockers correctly?(124 in lbs +30 degrees if i remember right) Or did someone do the job for you? Did you run the car before you changed the oil? .....If you did all this right, try dropping a quart of oil out of your car and adding a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer

I did the work myself and yes, I however did not check the rockers as far as being loose (like the cause) but they were torqued 118 in lbs and then 30 degrees. I will replace the rockers and see if that was is the cause of the noise sucks though 19 bucks a piece!

yeah, as little tip, when reinstalling take q-tips and place in the holes for the pushrods to absorb oil in the bottom of them, makes it easier if they have to bleed down
