2000 se Shifts weird

Just bout a 2000 se 4dr for my mom @ auction. Seems to want to shift fine if you don't baby it but if you ease into the throttle, it shift from 1st to 2nd the immediately to 3 doesn't stay in second for more than a couple of seconds. If you shift it manually it shifts fine all the gears are there. and it seems the harder you driver her the better she likes it. What gives I changed the fluid today and although a little better it still doesn't seem right. How bout the TCM on these cars? Any suggestions ???
 


The first step would be to check for any trouble codes in the pcm history. Most auto parts stores have code readers and the can check it for free. If nothing shows up then you will need to take it to someone with a scanner to check some engine and trans data to make sure there arent any problems. Without a scanner there is no way to easily diagnose any problems as these transmissions are 100% electronically controlled.
