So far is seems to be smoother compared to before. I guess the way I would compare it would be by comparing to the old tune. I had much more aggressive timing with my old tune, and with this DHP bin the car seemed more sluggish. Now that I have this TB on, it feels like it's close to the old tune again. It's nothing earth shattering, but it's a noticeable difference for sure. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this thing behaves once I can throw some more aggressive timing at it again.

I also finally wired up the new halos and switch backs in. I guess I like it. I have mixed feeling about it being the final product, but I do like it more than what I had before. They're all done now, I just need to aim the headlight tonight.

Not much has happened with the car lately, I dropped down to a 3.5 and have been tuning a lot. I did pick up a Snow Performance meth kit, but it's not getting installed until after the transmission and wideband. Got a killer deal on it, so I'm pretty excited. Dental stuff is still holding the transmission up, but bits and pieces are coming together. I did get bores yesterday and decided to swap the 1 7\8" pulley back on the CS144, which turned into me painting the alternator.
During the first few coats everything seemed fine, but after the last coat the humidity drastically changed and everything got furry...
Had to use some washers (1 on the backside of the pulley, 1 on each mounting bolt) to make sure the belt lined up...
Oh, and I cleaned off all the old paint, cleaned it with alcohol many times, then painted upstairs, lol. Came out nice
I actually tried something new, I baked the case in the oven after air drying for an hour and a half. Worked out well. It cured the paint a LOT faster.

Been awhile, I've been working a lot of OT at work getting ready to fund the transmission, but things keep coming up. I did paint a few more things to clean up the bay, but I took a big step this Thursday with the "important stuff" though. I went to Joplin to pick up a 04 GTP transmission, left with 2 new wheel bearings, the transmission, a set of valves and LS7 lifters (less than 500 miles on them), MSD 8mm spark plug wires, a Gen V LIM, and an AEM wideband (need to buy the sensor though).
I already have the transmission torn down, and the MSD wires installed, lol. I also went ahead and swapped the valve covers during the "cleaning" too.

So far, the 04 transmission didn't seem to be in overly bad shape. 4th has leoparding, 2nd gear stack is WAY short, I can fit my house key between the snap ring and the stack. The differential seems to be in good shape though, planetaries have a .015" gap so I guess that's good. Gonna be a few more weeks before any of this goes anywhere, but I figured I'd update the thread, kinda.

Current transmission works just fine, actually selling it to a friend to help fund the new one, lol. Needs a new TC though so we'll probably go through and freshen it up. I'll just (hopefully) be making more power than I'm comfortable with on it. Hardest part about reassembly holding the input\3rd assembly together while fitting it on the sun gear, IMO. the rest is easy peasey.

Well it's been awhile, but I'd figure I would give a bit of an update. My Grandpa passed in October, so I had to go back to Phoenix in November for services and all that jazz, so not much really happened with the car.
Things have started to calm down so I was able to give the car some much needed love. I put in a new passenger side axle, and put some AGX's in all around. That stuff made a HUGE difference in the way the car rides and drives. One of the adjustment knobs on the rear AGX's is broken off, and that is potentially going to be a hassle with KYB, we'll see though.
It's also time to upgrade the head unit, so I just ordered a new Android Double Din. This one is a Quad Core Intel running Android 5.1 with a 7 inch screen. No DVD player this time, I literally NEVER used this one. Pretty excited to get this thing installed. I might have to make a few changes to the Bezel, since the screen is a tad bigger. No biggie, the bezel is due for a refresher anyways. It's been 3 years. Here's a pic of it.
Other than those few side projects, the car won't be getting any love until the truck is going again. Since Grandpa passed last year, it's time to have it on the road again. Parts are ordered, and will be here soon, so hopefully it won't take all that long.

Doing good, Growing like weeds. Danny's reading, spelling, and doing math now, about to finish Kindergarten, Zoey is huge (50 pounds...she's 3), missed the preschool cut off last year by 25 days so she's going to start preschool this August. I've been working like a mad man since basically the last time I posted, in here. Something like 300+ hours of OT since then. Still working a lot of OT, just need to get this stuff done. Grandpa passed 10\10\2016, the same way I would want to go. He was hangin out with Grandma watching TV, she fell asleep with her head on him, then he fell asleep and just didn't wake up. It sucks, don't get me wrong, but I took the news better than I thought I would.
Anyways, may as well tell you guys what's going on with the truck. The major problem was the valve body. I have a 302w in it converted to roller with an HO cam advanced 4*, MAF conversion, GT40P heads, custom Y-pipe, and that's about it. I put a Transgo shift kit in the valve body (this was all about 5 years ago) and the transmission lost it's mind. It would hold 1st til 20-25MPH, 2-3 would be "normal" and 3-OD was HARD. Then you'd randomly be driving down the road and it'd SLAM back into 3rd. I tried working with the TV cable, setting it with a gauge, spacer, driving, etc. never helped. Double checked the shift kit, checked with Transgo, etc. everything was fine. In the midst of all that, my wife got pregnant with our daughter so we needed a 4 door car. Enter GTP.
So zoom ahead 4 years, the truck has sat for the better part of 3.5 years, and it's time to get it going again. So to get it goin, I bought a new SPT-1 Silverfox VB for it (it gets here today), I'm in the midst of a little rewiring (isolating the dual batteries), I have to put some MMO in each spark plug hole, a few various things here and there, and change all the fluids. Possibly getting some long tube headers, as well. If they fit the truck (2WD) AND the GT40P heads on it (40Ps have a smaller combustion chamber than 40s, but the "more efficient" spark plug angle interfere's with most exhaust manifolds). If the LTs don't work out, then I'll track down some shorties, but I'd really like long tubes.

Keep us posted on the ride doin's, here, when u ain't slaving. With kiddos that age you're a busy man. That '67 F100 we did has been doing well at the shows, did you see it done?
