I'm actually leaving the hood. Well, let me rephrase. I'm going to paint the hood, but not white. I like the 2 tone look, it looks more aggressive to me, and follows along with the whole black\white theme going on under the hood. I'll probably start by wrapping it in CF just to see if I like it, and if I do, then I'll eventually find a SD spoiler and wrap it, along with the dash bezel, since the paint around the double din isn't lasting like it should, lol.

Not sure what I was thinking on the emblems, Marijuana can help you do some stupid ****. Like when I bled my brakes for a week before realizing the calipers were on the wrong side (upside down).

Tried doing the tie rods before work today, but after a half hour of trying to break the adjusting nut loose I decided not to. I'm sure I eventually could have gotten it, but I had maybe 2 and a half hours before I had to get ready for work... This weekend I'll have to take another swing at the tie rods, unless I decide to do the valve springs. All depends on the weather too.

Instead I installed the poly sway bar bushings, rotated the tires, and put the weather stripping under the headlights. I'll have to take the Swiss Army Torx thingy to work with me just in case they need to be put down some more.

HOLY CRAP DOOD. Kudos to you, my man. the amount of love you've given your GP is what every car desires. Im peanut butter and jealous of your electronic skills. I took some classes on electronic controls, but don't remember squat. My personal favorite upgrades of yours is the one click switches, and the needles. I felt like the emblems on the grille looked a-ok to me. have you ever seen the GTP logo on the grilles? they look sweet but have yet to come across one. I Literally made an account just to give you some praise on your hardwork. Blood, Sweat, and Gears!! :th_skull:

The amount of time and detail you've put into each thread is beyond belief. I personally want to thank you for your time given. Not only have you shared wire diagrams, light bulb sizes and reviews, and even PICTURES!!! FACK! You Da MAN!

Thanks man, lol. Lord knows I've put a lot of work into it. Actually, 10 days ago was the 2 year anniversary of owning the car. The other day when I had just finished the poly sway bar bushings someone randomly stopped by and asked if I wanted to sell her. I just laughed and said, "No thanks, I've put waaaay to much work into it." "Damn, someone told it was for sale and I really wanted to buy it" I had the hood open and he saw it then said he understood why I didn't want to sell. I just laughed and told him he has no idea, what he sees was just mostly a can of spray paint or 2, lol.

I actually wrote a write-up on how to install the one touch modules, I'll go find a link in a minute. If you need any help with anything else you can just PM me. I accidentally deleted all my PMs not to long ago, but I learned my lesson, lol.

Mother nature is showing her colors again. I need to install these damn valve springs and theres a 70% chance of snow tomorrow with a high of 35*. I think I'm going to try and set up my pop canopy or something....

So I've decided to take on a little project, for reliability purposes, as well as performance...maybe. I'm building an external rectifier for the CS144. Possibly even an dual rectifier. The principle is somewhat simple, just extend all the connections and put it in a box with a fan to cool it all. Where to get a metal box with a 12v fan in it...computer power supply. I talked to a buddy from work and he gave me an old ATX power supply that was toast, so I prompt gutted it and began. Fan was locked up so I replaced it with a purdy 80mm I had laying around, and I'll be cutting a hole for and mounting a 60mm on the opposite side, just to be safe. This is where I go Macgyver. I stole a poly cutting board from the wife, and started cutting it up a bit. The rectifiers need to be isolated from the case, so I'm going to mount them to a cutting board. Since it's looking like mother nature doesn't want me to do the valve springs tomorrow I'll probably keep going on this since I have it all worked out in my head.

The reason I'm doing all this is because the rectifier(s) will be away from the engine heat, so they perform better, last longer, etc. It should also increase the output a little. I figure I might max out at 250a (already running a 20% overdrive pulley on 200a, remember?), but who knows, maybe it'll be more.

Here's how far I've made it tonight.

Yea, not doing anything to the car today. Stupid snow. I also decided to hold off on the external rectifier. It's probably something I'll do in my spare time, but it's not a priority right now. I'm just going to throw the new rectifier in and call her good for now. If the snow ever lets up a bit I'll run out and pull the alternator.

Decided to go ahead and install the new rectifier, then buy 1 or 2 more when we get back from AZ so I can complete the external rectifier. I pulled the alternator in the snow in about 5 minutes, this snow won't let up. Anyways, I decided to beef up the voltage regulator a bit while I had it out, and nothing else to do. It came out pretty good, I trimmed the case a bit here around it to allow more airflow, and to fit the heat sink itself. It actually came out pretty good, and for $Free.50, I guess I'm doing pretty good:

Now I'm insulating the stator leads a bit more with liquid electrical tape and I'll throw it all back in the car.

I thinking I will, that the cheapest I can get them that you know of? $170 isn't bad, but ya know, cheaper is better, lol.

Yes, get those LED tails you posted.

Definitely the best tail lights out there for the GP. And the load resistor is already built in, but they do go bad. Mine went bad after 2 years of owning the tail lights.

Cool cool, I'll be ordering them tonight. AZ trip is on hold for the time being. My mom is stupid, 3 weeks she's known that we can't come out yet, and she's never mentioned it. I've been busting my ass getting the car ready for 3 weeks and she never mentioned it. I hate parents sometimes.

Tail lights are ordered. I have 4 more packages on the way, lol. A spare heavy duty voltage regulator, a cabin air filter, LED tail lights, and the water in the floor board fix thing. SO that means this weekend, I hope to:

Change front sway bar endlinks
Change inner tie rod boots and outer tie rods
Install band clamp
Change valve seals\springs
Fix transmission cooler line leak
Swap out other fog light
Whatever else I come up with between now and then.

Weather is showing mid 50s and sunny, so I think it's doable. It's a bunch of small stuff, cept the valve springs. Those are a bit more involved.
