Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Everything is slowly coming together, but as always, unexpected things are coming up.
The Good:
Front Strut bar is installed
Front brakes are done
Passenger rear brakes are done
I actually have a parking brake now, damn near everything was broke on that
Coolant Tank is FINALLY back in
All the spark plugs are in and connected
Trailing arms are replaced, brackets are being hot tanked.
The Bad:
Driver side rear brake piston seal was leaking, so that's not going to get here til Wednesday. I also got rained out today, so I didn't get as much done as I'd of liked. I might go back out and work some more. I hope to have her on the road Wednesday or Thursday. Pics:
Front Passenger brakes (freshly turned, just got rained on):
Rear Passenger, new trailing arm in this pic too:
Old bent Passenger trailing arm:
Coolant tank, which I actually spent quite a bit of time sanding smooth, painting, etc. Of course you don't see it very much.
Front Strut Bar ($5 at a JY):
More electrolysis fun, you can see the before next to the pan. The one soaking was the worst of the two:
Finished, but what i don't have a pic of is the finished painted product (still drying):
Tomorrow we're supposed to get more rain, but maybe I can get the starter and TQ converter bolts in. While it's raining I'll work on the headlights or something.
