Hello. Welcome to the forum. There is a ton of great info on here that applies to your listed projects. Be sure to check out the Safely Modding thread first. It is loaded with great steps to start the modding process.
 
Be ready for A LOT of work. Top swapping is more involved than replacing the intakes and adding some pulleys.
 
I've been wrenching for a long time. Ever since I could walk practically. Yes I've been doing some reading on it and it is quite a bit of work. I was hoping you all could possibly help me out! I hope to enjoy being here on this forum.
