2000 GT wheel bearing question

I found wheel bearings on am-autoparts.com for about 50 bucks. Does this seem a little too cheap or should I go ahead and buy them.
 


only way it should be that cheap if it was from a junkyard.
Out side of a stocker only other brand i would use would be a timken
 
Yeah, $60 if you get it now, last one left, 30 day warranty... If you are OK with that, and only need one, grab it. It will cost about $7 for shipping too, but not a bad price I guess, but could be a Chinese part which I've seen write up about how bad they are. A phone call to RockAuto would yield that answer hopefully. Or grab one locally that isn't Chinese made for about $8 more. It is up to you. I know some people (I used to be this way, so I completely understand) look at lowest bottom dollar. I also know that there are a lot of kids and students here where every penny counts, so I am not going to fault anyone for trying to save a buck.

Just give them a call and see if this "last one" wholesale one is made in China. If so, skip it, if not, then the choice is up to you.

Exactly. For the price, just get the whole assembly from somewhere you can cash in on the warranty if needed.
 
So the group consensus is that I shouldn't mess with the bearing from AM autoparts. I'll prolly pick up the $90 one at autozone.
 
My car just recently started swerving really easy when i get to about 20mph. Its almost as if the steering just turn EXTREMELY easy and sensitive. I am unable to drive it over 20 or its pretty dangerous. I have driven it in an empty parking lot and it handles perfect when driving and turning (around 15mph). I also don't hear any grinding noise. I have heard a tick sounding noise from the driver side wheel. But the noise barely ever does it. I am 100% positive its not the tire pressure. If anyone has any advice it would help a lot. Thanks
 


Yea jack the car up n wiggle the tire side to side then top n bottom,
that will tell u what is bad, (lower ball joint or outer tie rod) :th_thumb-up:
 
make sure on the bearing no matter what the brand, lifetime warranty, timkin is getting more foreign made everyday but just be sure its lifetime on these or don't waste your money
 
Pay the few extra dollars for the good ones. I cheaped out and ended up re-doing the whole job again with the good ones. This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for.
