2000 Grand Prix GT Window Switches

I have had my driver window switch go out twice.
Is this a fairly common problem?
Stops working and then when i mess with it seems to be shorting out.
Looks like i have to replace the whole panel.
Don't see how i can replace just the one rocker switch.
