2000 GP issue

I just recently purchased a 2000 Pontic Grand Prix and it has twice now done some weird things. I have seen on the internet that this has happened to other owners as well. When driving car idles irratic then the Trac light comes on and the RPM's drop to zero. Can you please offer me an idea of what I might be looking at to repair?

This is my first pontic/gm product. Any ideas would be appreciated and I am sorry if I should have posted else where.

It's the crank position sensor. fairly easy fix with the right tool.

Okay so deep socket and maybe have to replace said sensor? :th_confused:
