2 unsused wires...what are they for...?

I am in the process of relocation my headunit to my glove box. I was looking at the stock wiring harness for the headunit and then the adapter one for GM to Alpine harness. There are 2 wires one Green one Blue that don't adapt to the new connector. What are these for? I can get pics. I have a feeling this might be why I have bad radio reception, I've been tapping the wrong wire for the signal? If you hold the stock connector facing you on the plug end these would be in the bottom right section of the connector. The ONLY 2 wires in that part.
 


one of them is for the steering wheel buttons, the other is the E&C serial data line (for HUD display of radio)

you need to connect the wire marked for the power antenna (in the adapter) to the power antenna/remote turn on lead from the aftermarket head unit to make sure you're getting good reception... there's a powered antenna booster above the headliner.
