Well i was hanging out at the local hangout with friends, and we decided to just do a few passes, well. Found 2 cars, 1 stage 3/4 SRT4 neon, 1 03-04 Mustang cobra


First race with the mustang, Heads up till i got traction, Yes unfortunately there was rocks everywhere and i was using slicks, once i hooked i left, he had a nice exhaust, decent tires, and a nice lopey idle, was great. we both loved each others car, nice guy


Second race with the yellow 04 neon SRT 4 with a stage 3 or 4 i cant remember what he said, but another nice guy, i had him go first, I cought up and barely passed him, Second race not sure what happened, I got stuck at 7grand and it wouldn't shift, Valve float like a biatch, I need to put on my new heads, And we stayed side by side. It never did that all night again, it was weird.


oh and some guys in a RED 4 door GTP kept trying to race me, priceless, I let him boost up then passed him, I doubt it was stock, maybe a pulley, exhaust and cai. It was fun but i couldnt actually race him being there was cars in the way. and he wouldnt slow down. but kept flying past me when he could. :th_laugh-lol2:



otherwise was a good night, went out at 9:30pm and just got back.

night all im tired. :)

If it was an 03/04 then the mustang was boosted aswell. Didn't you hear it whine? What are the specs on your cam?

i had to turn off my car to hear him lol, my car was loud.
And we didnt stay close for long, Cops were everywhere. :th_winking:

Don't know crap about GTP's as mine is stock except for mufflers... but the '03 Cobra I had put down 475/525 (not stock) at the rear, so you must have a hell of a car. I'm not sure of the weight difference. The Cobra 'verts weight a ton and stock tires are crap.

I would add a pulley and some other things to mine... but my wife said NO; it's an everyday car, not a toy. Bummer. So my money goes to guns and scotch instead. YeeHaah.

Just a misreading of things. I'm sortof of reading, from my Cobra days, of guys saying they beat a Lamborghini with a stock setup... Some of the posts can give you a hell of a laugh. Cars are great. If I could afford a '70 hemi Cuda I'd look better losing than any '10 Shelby could every imagine :)

Mod up your gtp. Tell her you got a tune up, and an oil change. My misses drives my gtp to work, and tells everybody she has a sleeper. The stupid guys that work with her have told her that her car makes a funny squealing noise, and she tells them, "Yeah, it's supercharged. It's my undercover sleeper!"
She doesn't know **** about the car, other than it goes fast when she wants it to!
Oh, I did have to change the intake setup, after she took it to get smoked this year.......

Unfortunately my wife does know a bit about cars. At least after driving my Cobra... Even stock she loves my GTP's get up and go. Especially when compared to her Jeep.
 


Cammed cobras are rare....I've seen a few/heard a few, just like I've seen a few turbo/sc LS1 Fbodies. It's all about cost effectiveness.
