Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1988 grand prix 2.8 car died would not start, replaced crank sensor and it was good for 6months, now car started to die randomly once it got warm and would not restart for 10-15 min then it would start again, the weird thing about this is when it dies and you turn the key forwards the cel DOES NOT COME ON, you wait the 15 or so min and turn the key on the and the cel is back the car will start, so we changed the crank sensor again, worked for 2 days not sure if it was fluke or not but once again the car is doing the same thing when it dies the cel will not come on with ignition for 10-15 min then as soon as it comes back the car will start, any help is appreciated

whats the code? check the wiring to the crank sensor, check your grounds.

does not throw a code, grounds are ok, i see now that the crank sensor goes through the icm im wondering if that was the problem, but what would cause the cel not to come on??

, you wait the 15 or so min and turn the key on the and the cel is back the car will start,

guess i misunderstood you?

sounds like the ignition module is bad to me.

older cars dont usually throw that many codes, ignition module included.

i know that, what has we stumped is normally when u turn the ignition on not to run, the cel comes on seat belt oil press ect, BUT when it wont start all the lights still come on excpet the service engine soon and you can turn it over and over and it will not start, you have to wait untill the service engine light turns on with the ignition on acc, until it wil start

Also check your mass air flow sensor. My car did the same thing as when the cps goes bad, but I 'm sure it's the maf. Also def. check the wiring going to the cps. You figured since the car is OBD2 it would show you the code right away to bad it just doesn't work like that. Also does the tcs go off when you have problems the would be caused by the cps.
