• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT o2 sensor

buy a 40 dollar hi flow cat on line. have a shop weld it in, as well as remove the U bend. 100 bucks tops?

you'll need a o2 emulator to pull the rear o2 from the pipe some to trick it into reading right and not setting the rear o2 code.

yes. not as bad as you thought now?

then the o2 emulator to trick the o2, or depending on where you live find a local who can tune the code out.

next is to find a shop to cut and weld it in for cheap.

when i did my u bend delete i bought a 10 inch pipe, a o2 bung and a flange to bolt it to the cat back from my local shop, charged me 25 for the parts in hand.

you'll need those parts, your new cat in hand plus the shops time to weld it in. with any luck you can find a shop to do that for like 50 or so. maybe less, never know.

some shops are just out to rape all. same shop wanted 175 to weld a bung in my cross over pipe in the car. i took the pipe off, went back they did it for 40, wtf is that all about? they had a clear shot at it, just being assholes.

so dont be shy about hitting a few shops for a price. try the local garages too. some do exhaust work and weld.
