1998 Regal GS Tuning Question

Hi, I have already read the wonderful article on safely madding your 3800. Car has about 100000 on the ticker and runs fine. I plan on doing headers, 1.9 RR's with springs, CAI, 180 tstat, and colder plugs... Do you think I'll be able to run a 3.25 in pulley or should I work down from a 3.4. I know it depends on KR values but lemme know what you think.. I ask because if my mods will surely support the pulley, I don't see the point in buying a 3.4 just to try to sell it in a month. In addition, I want to get a custom tune and was curious as to where I could get this done near Lansing MI. I'm not opposed to driving a little while because I know a custom tune is worth the time and money. Thanks for you time.

3.4 You need a cam or IC to get lower. Save yourself time and just get a tuner. Esp if you plan to mod more. They really come in handy.

My buddy had a 3.3 on his header, rocker car...but it also had a ported TB and blower and a custom tune...
