1998 GTP Lightning McQueen

I bought it in August and have slowly been fixing the minor issues with it. Nothing major just small pieces and parts. A guy hit it while it was parked and ran his bumper down both passenger doors. So it goes to paint tomorrow to have two new doors and a complete new paint job. I am also changing the subdued GTP nameplates on the doors with black and silver ones that I picked up at a local junk yard. Other than that it is in great shape. 221,000 miles, a new s/c and a cold air intake is all that has been changed so far.

Get some new headlights in that thing and get the windows tinted after paint...otherwise, looks pretty clean.

I would suggest a full de-badge first, then if you don't like it get new nameplates. Red GPs always look good with a solid debadge.

Besides, when they hear the whine, they will know something is up. Nobody cares about the trim package. The only question I ever get is "IS that a supercharger under the hood????" *me gusta*

Got the new headlights and sent it off to paint today. I am completely de-badging the car and I'll see what it looks like when it comes back from paint. May leave off the pin stripping and Grand Prix logo on the trunk and just put on the black and chrome GTP name plates on the doors. Also the new front bumper cover does not have the Pontiac emblem.

Pin stripping is meh... best without it, but personal preference

ALWAYS remove the "GRAND PRIX" logo on the trunk, clean and smooth is best. I like my Supercharged sticker, but again personal preference.

New bumper cover doesn't have the emblem because its a aftermarket replacement fascia. All cheaper aftermarket ones are smoothed. Some like it some don't. Just make sure the bottom is reinforced or the middle can/will sag and look ugly.

Nice and clean for 221k on her... Headlights are a must, lolz, but you're already taking care of that. Good luck with her. :)
