1998 GTP electrical problem

So about a year ago my dad purchased a 1998 2 door GTP with about 135k. The car drove fine but not perfect and he wanted me to do a LIM job so he towed it to me from El Paso TX to Chandler AZ. I had the car for about 4 months after that, I worked and replaced anything and everything I could see wrong with it.

Well after the LIM job the car started to bog under acceleration. ALL vacuum hoses where replaced and couldnt see a leak. I decided to redo the LIM job and still after that it bogged. The biggest problem we noticed was that the car's headlight flickered when turned on and the car had problems staying on at night when headlights where turned on.

So I have a feeling I have a short somewhere, before I took everything apart I removed a aftermarket alarm and a "performance chip" dont know if that is the problem. I would like to get this problem fixed so I could get my dad off my back . I would appreciate any help thanks!
 


Check and clean all battery cables and grounds. Also check the backside of the undehood fuse block for corrosion as it can hide there and cause strange issues. Also might want to have the alternator checked out. Could be getting weak and not able to keep up w/ the demand.
