I was searching the web for some detailed wiring diagrams for my car and stumbled upon this particular website. It isn't easy to navigate, but there is a wealth of wiring information for just about any 1997 Year Model vehicle of most major makes.

Here is where I started:
http://www.diakom.ru/CAR/Pontiac/ (Yes, it's in German, but the info is in good ol' English)
Just use the drop-down boxes and select the year (1997 is all that shows up), model, and "Wiring Diagrams"

You can change the "Pontiac" to whatever manufacturer you're looking for. For me, http://www.diakom.ru/CAR/Pontiac/1997/Grand Prix/SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS/ is where all the goodies are!

For a Camaro: http://www.diakom.ru/CAR/Chevrolet/1997/Camaro/SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS/.
Regal: http://www.diakom.ru/CAR/Buick/1997/Regal/SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS/
Mustang: http://www.diakom.ru/CAR/Ford/1997/Mustang/SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS/
etc, etc... You get the idea.
