I'm having an annoying issue with my '97 GTP. As it says in the thread title, the car starts first time every time and runs just fine, but only for five to ten seconds. After that, it just winds back down to zero RPM - no sputtering, no noises, no drama; it just shuts off as if I'd turned the key. It runs longer if the throttle is open but not nearly long enough to be useful. What's stranger is that this seems to have happened literally overnight: I drove the car home with no incident or trouble, and this behavior started when I went to leave the next morning. There's plenty of gas in the tank, all the lights and accessories come on so it's not the battery, and since the little running it does sounds normal I doubt there's anything wrong with the motor itself. My initial guess is part of the fuel delivery system (e.g. pump, filter, pressure regulator, etc.) but I don't know how or where to begin diagnosing.
