Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1997 GTP - Issues - Help! :)

1997 Grand Prix GTP Supercharge - On a 'cold start' she powers when starting ignition, revs go up as normal, levels down to idle speed but then 'pluffs' out (dies). She used to start after 3 goes but it's getting tougher to get her to fire without giving her gas to warm her up. What might be the prob? I hear that it can't be a choke as she has no carb...fuel injected...but wont there be a butterfly in there for air/fuel flow? Could it be the ECM sensor? Just want to have an idea, as a female, before taking her into a mechanic and maybe getting swindled...lol Thanks for any help! :)

Try unplugging the maf sensor (top of throttle body). This will default the computer to run off tables and you'll probably need to use some throttle to keep it running at first and after a few minutes it'll learn the tables. If that doesn't do the trick, then it's likely the fuel pump resistor going bad.

off to get that link for you.

mine did the same check the vacuum line that runs from the top of the s/c to the device in the back mine would die on me cuz the line was craacked

Here is a vac line diagram. Check these lines for cracks, wear etc. Pay no attention to the circle...it was for another thread
