1997 gen V n*, 85mm base tune

Hello all,

Finally did my GEN V swap on my 1997 GTP. Looking for a "starter" tune for it. Already had a DHP 1.5 in there.

mods:
GEN V
N* TB (78mm)
85mm MAF
1:9 rockers
TOG headers
thrasher CAI
2.5 mandrel exhaust.

using DHP for my tuner.

you just need to load the new maf file, then tune the maf some. if your dropping pulleys.

are you scanning for kr? that 3.3" is probably too small for those mods, unless you have a cam or intercooler you forgot to mention. probably need a fuel pump rewire too. might need some bigger injectors too if you go much smaller.

Scanning for KR @ 5400 ft elevation. Have the fuel pump retire, and ported heads, 90lbs springs, and a phenolic spacer (1/4 in) under the blower. (Modded LIM for coolant passage & welded shut S/C coolant ports.

running super rich at idle, hence wanting the 85mm maf table.

in DHP, in imports, is two maf files, ls1 and lt1. not sure what maf your running. but maf files, you have already.

KR can still happen at 5400 feet above sea level. Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where I am currently living, sits at 6200 feet above sea level and has several mountain passes that are significantly higher, and the town I lived in for eight years sits at 7000 feet. It is true there is less potential for kr at higher elevations, but the risk is still there. you might be ok with those mods for that pulley, but the need to scan for knock is still present.

the LQ4 maf is 85mm, which is bigger than the LS1 and LT1 maf sensors.
