Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

What size nut is it? If you know.

So its just those three bolts holding it on right?

1: bolt behind idler/tensioner pulley
2: bolt holding the alternator brace to coil pack
3: bolt in the middle of tensioner assembly

After those three are removed, it should slide right off, correct?

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

your supercharged right? and looks like this? not the best shot, i was taking a pic of the water pump, not the coil pack, but its there.

once you got the tensioner off, you have that stud to the right, ( think i used a 15 mm deep socket) and the bolt with the ground on it from the icm to the left.

also un bolt the wire plug from the icm.

Exactly what mine looks like.

I removed everything you have listed but the coil pack still wouldnt budge.

I was told you also to remove the bolt in the middle of the tensioner assembly. Its those 3 bolts holding the bracket on.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

I already got the bolt off. I have a deep 15mm socket and got it off.

Im just wondering about the Bolt in the middle of tensioner assembly, especially since its a hex.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

Lol yes i know that. What are all the bolts though?

One behind Idler pulley, one that grounds the ICM and what is the last one?

OK, the three studs that hold on the bracket form a 90 degree angle. So look at the two you removed, and connect the dots! Lol

The third nut is in the tensioner assembly buts a hex nut. How do i remove that?

Inverted torx socket?

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

stick a socket inside the hole, its a nut inside, or a stud, either way i used a socket to get the tensioner off.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

I tired multiple times getting the fuel filter off, so i finally i said f*ck it and brought the car to the shop, $45 later new fuel filter installed. Even the shop said they had a rough time getting it off. Either way a new one is on and thats out of the way.

Also i got a OBDII interface for the torque app, 3 codes my car has. One is still from the new o2 i put in the car, I put the stock one back in, just need to clear that code. Second code is cylinder 6 misfire *Sigh* i hooked my car up to Josh's AF and it read the car had 0 misfires, i believe this misfire is just from my engine getting wet due to all the rain from Sandy and a leaky SD hood. Lastly, P0441, since josh deleted my EVAP hose from my car last time i was with him, i believe thats where the code is from from.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, I Like KR + Update

Did a few WOT pulls with the new fuel filter.

One from 50mph - 90, second from 0-85 and third 0-85.

Even though i cant officially scan for KR, i was feeling if the car hit 7* of KR (power loss) like last time.

Car shifted right through the gears feeling fine, i wont officially know until i can scan the car with an Aeroforce again but a clogged fuel fiilter might have been my cause of high KR. On the second pull i could feel my tranny in the beginning yell at me saying "f*ck you"

One of my next investments needs to be an Aeroforce, i really need one.
