Don't you two fuucks either say you're not lowering because of Michigan roads. I've been lowered 4 years with no issues.

NA.. That's not really my reason... I am just not really interested in doing it... Can think of better ways to spend the money.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Roof Rails Are On, Yeah Im Cool

Not to much of a big update. Car was leaking fuel so i figured out it was a leaking injector line. Took it to the shop and on my way the engine was smoking ALOT. Very embarrassing driving down the street with smoke heavily coming out of the engine bay. Thankfully the shop is only 2 miles away from my house and i got it there just in time before my engine could of started on fire due to fuel pouring out every where.

New Fuel Line:

Driving home from the shop, with my luck, something blew and it was super loud. Thought it was a tire but it wasnt. Now my back end is sagging by an inch (i measured) compared to the front. No, its not my strut towers, those are in near perfect condition. Not sure what it is since my whole back end is sagging. Got an appointment to go back to the shop tomorrow. Yippee...

Heres just a few random pics and as you can see, the rear end sag.

Now onto a question. Since my rear end is sagging, i kinda like the look of the car dropped a bit. How would my car look with stock sized tires, lowered, since they are well inside the wheel well? I was thinking about ZZP Lowering Springs with anti-pogo washers. They drop 1.2 inches which seems like a nice small(ish) drop.

And as people may ask what are my next plans. well here ya go, in order:
1: SD hood + Front Air Dam (buying together to save shipping cost)
2: SLP GTX Gen 2 Spoiler
3: Getting Gas Cap Rust Fixed (needs to be done before winter)

Thats whats next, hopefully all will be on and painted by the end of summer.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Damn Prix Needs Repairs.

tips also need a tuck or a trim, just like mine do!

I got nothing to cut them down with and to make them shorter i would have to cut them down on the outside. They are already as short as they can go where it was welded on.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Damn Prix Needs Repairs.

If it were me, before you just take it to the shop and let them tell you what it is, I would jackup the back end, both sides, take the wheels off and look all around. A Blown strut should show leakage, I would think it would sag on one side more than the other, but it could be possible.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Damn Prix Needs Repairs.

but the back two struts are only 1.5 years old, i couldnt imagine it being a strut already but who knows.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Damn Prix Needs Repairs.

Truthfully there are only 2 things that should keep the car from sagging/dragging ground. Struts and Springs. The arms and sway bars and everything else just hold it in position and keep the rear from jumping out from under you when driving. If something went boom and it dropped I would think something to do with either of them... regardless of age/miles, the do have problems on a 5-10% basis, that's why you get a warranty.

Checking it out and knowing for sure can save you alot of money in most cases.

If you look at the diagram there really isn't alot to go wrong in that area. Unless by some strange reason, bolts broke or came out and the shock dropped or some crazy 1% chance weird phenomenon happened to you. I would bet money either the mount or the strut gave out.

But then again, I've been know to sometimes be wrong.
