Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

Not to bad of a deal. Should have let me know though before you made plans. My friend Mitch does paint work and can get you probably cheaper. He shaved my trunk lid and is repainting the whole rear of the car for $400.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

$350 with the two tone air dam, i'm not to upset about that, but if I ever need anything else painted, ill ask you first.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

Had to remove the lower grilles for the time being. I tried test fitting the Air Dam but it wouldnt go on fully due to the lower grilles being in the way. They werent on very good anyways. I need to bend them back a little to shape the front fascias. Bringing the hood and air dam into paint tomorrow or tuesday, the grilles had to be removed. Will re-intstall them after everything is on and painted. Grill-less looks awful.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

Ever plan on lowering the car? If so, don't get them. They have a bad offset

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

no plans to do that how much do you pay for them

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

Luckily they came with the car when I bought it. I've seen them on craigslist for around $300 for a set. But that's real cheap and are kinda hard to come by. Just keep searching CL and Ebay

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

Heres a couple photos of a mock/test fit of the front air dam. Looks absolutely amazing. Hood and Air dam just got dropped off for paint this afternoon, will have it all on by thursday night or friday morning. Im very excited for this, will look outstading on the car.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, SD Hood & Front Air Dam Have Arrived.

Ahh yes, I remember it well.. The day I got my SD lip....Though I stole it for $50.

You'll absolutely love how it looks. Though, try to take it easy when pulling into a parking spot, because even at stock ride height, I scraped about 90% of the time.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Front Air Dam Test/Mock Fit.

$50 is a steal when it cost me $200. Should go together so well with the SD hood.

I am a bit nervous about scraping the bottom, i told the body shop person who is painting and installing it to put a few screws in for extra support for when i do scrape it.

Anyways, $200 + $580 + $40 (boxing Fee) + $160 (shipping) + $350 (For Paint) = $1,330. Thats alot of money for only 2 parts. Had some buyers remorse spending all that money, but i think it will be worth it once i see it all finished.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Front Air Dam Test/Mock Fit.

Yeah, and on black, it's x10 better.

Though, I never scraped on any bad bumps or potholes, just those damn parking spot thingies/curbs.

*Awaiting pictures, because I never got to do the hood on my car, so I shall live it out through yours*

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Front Air Dam Test/Mock Fit.

I feel as if not many people have the SD hood and Front air dam together, you usually see one or the other. So im a little different.

Lots of pictures when its all done at the end of the week just for you. Im a pic whore.

And also, The one bad thing about the Air Dam, i feel like There is so much going on up front but nothing in the back, I think it looks a tad goofy, i will need something in the back to make it all flow nicely.

Sd Hood, Front Air Dam, Roof Rails, and then Gen 2 spoiler?

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Front Air Dam Test/Mock Fit.

sounds like you are spending a lot of money ill do you a favor ill trade you my wheels and tires and some cash for yours hahah

Now, how much cash we talking? im looking to get different rims anyways. You may be in luck.

I would like to lower my car, so i need rims with a good offset.
