1995 Grand Prix SE

This morning I looked at a 1995 Grand Prix SE Coupe that is for Sale. This has the cool dual exhaust, although one exhaust tip is gone, rusted off.

What engine would this have? 3.1?

Anything I should look for?

I just walked around it, looked in the window, etc. I'll call and try to drive it in the next couple days.

I am thinking I am getting rid of my Ford Expedition(got a buyer waiting) and buying a 3rd Grand Prix. Maybe I should buy a 1995...

Please let me know ya think of this 95.

Thank you,

Vince

rmm...Im not sure bout a 95 model:th_scratchhead: But I agree with blue I think it would have the 3.1

Well I'll find out abou this 95 GP on Saturday. I called my buyer on my Expedition and they now said they will know in a week whether they can buy it.....AH>>>

3.4 DOHC in earlier years made around 200 HP and 215 TQ, athough manuals were factory rated at 210 HP. Later years around 1995 or 96 I believe they were upped to around 210 HP IIRC. More details in 60DegreeV6.com

GTP would have the 3.4 DOHC although some higher end SEs had them too... The only way to tell is from the Cluster or under the hood otherwise they won't have the hood louvers like the GTPs had.

Most likely, its the more common SE w/ 3100 SFI V6 and IIRC in the GPs they were rated at 160 HP in 1995.

Well I drove the 95 GP on Saturday. It has the 3100 in it, there is a hole in the exhaust and the guy said the drivers window will come out of the track if I were to lower it. IT has 130,000 miles on it, has a new water pump and newer alternator. The car drove fine, he wants $1400 for it. Little rust and normal scratches but it drives very nicely.

If my 2000 sells, which I should find out yet this week, then I may offer $1100 for this 95.

Question is whether a Green 95 will fit in with my black 97 and my Blue 2003 Grand Prixs. And this is a 2 door, I already have one 2 door...
