• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1969, grand prix, console removal

There's very few guys here that would know that, so you'd be waiting a while on a more specific answer (most guys here are 1997+).

Just search all around the console for bolts and screws and remove them all - sides, back, front, and inside the box. It'll be easier with the seats removed if you haven't removed them already. If there's any electronics, like switches or buttons, remove it gingerly in case the wiring is short to avoid damaging it.

I found the console installation illustration in my 1969 Factory Service Manual.

There are 2 screws at the bottom of the storage bin, 1 screw under the ash tray, 1 under the shifter escutcheon and 2 screws at the very front that go up into the IP.

I have tried to upload a scan of that image, but the upload fails every time. File size is OK; don't know why it won't work.
If you still need the picture, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you an email.
