gonna install a 180 stat this week do i need to drain the coolant or can i just take the elbow off and let some spill out then bleed the system when im done?
 


Yup, wait for it to cool down, undo the two 10mm bolts and some coolant will spill out...pop out the old one and put in the new one...put the hose back down and bolt it down. Then start the car and open the bleeder valve to let any air out that got in.
