17" Lucerne Rims stripped and powder coated

I bought these rims back in April on Craigslist for $140 from a local lady. I spent a dent amount of time attempting to strip the chrome. I tried Muriatic acid bath. That didn't work too well. End up just using my angle grinder with a few different pads to get the rough edges down and scuff up the surface.

The Germ on here did the work on the power.

Here what they were before.

I'll try and get a pic tomorrow with the rim on the car.

Now to tire rack for some tires.

I ended up going with 225/55/17's. Wanted to keep the same height. I would have liked to go wider but I don't need to tear up and down the streets. I also have hoosiers for the street.

$380 shipped from Tire rack. Should be on Friday.

Cool. I'll do it tomorrow or when I'm not lazy.

Yeah I have the center caps. They're plastic so I couldn't powder them :).

I just shot some primer on them after I cleaned them. The gloss black I had in the garage was from 10 years ago and it decided to come out blotchy so.. no. I'll pick up a small can tomorrow at the parts store.

Also going to put the GP lugs on it (with the threads on the outside of the nut) and then put the black caps on.

I only have the front part of the car. behind the door.. there is nothing there. Just air ;).

I'll wash the turd up tomorrow and get some shots.
