• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

136,000 miles, losing coolant, intake manifold gaskets shot from DEX COOL ???????

What the hell made that low coolant light come on then?
Sensor is bad. I've changed two (on the same car) in four years. The sensor is a Delphi part made in Mexico (go figure). The sensor is on the right radiator tank about half way down.

Yea I aint sure whats going on yet... I check the antifreeze level every oil change, along with all the other fluids.... When the light came on the first and only time, I was sitting in it outside my garage getting ready to leave after letting it warm up to operating temp on a cold ass day.... I noticed the temp gauge was slightly above normal too when the light came on. I revved the engine to 2000 rpms and the temp gauge immediately went back down to where it normally runs... I assumed then it actually was low on coolant thus revving the engine sped the water pump circulating the coolant better and covering the sensor for the temp and coolant level. Who knows, maybe its time for a thermostat.

No sir. The light was only on for 10 seconds , then went off after revving it to 2000 rpms as I was talking about on the previous post..... This was all before I filled the tank
