• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

[email protected] Minor Mods

So we made our way to NED for 1 more day to see what I could get my GTP to run on the stock pulley before the swap over the winter. I couldnt be happier with how the car has performed to this point. Keep in mind the ONLY MODS are SD Headers, CAI, Mufflers, 160-stat, Trans and Fans tune, Hoosier QTP's, 3690 w/driver. I managed 1.9 60ft's all day on a cold track and the best pass was a [email protected]. I also ran a 13.7 13.8 and another 13.6. I was very very happy with theses runs. Trans has not had any hickups running the QTP's. I will post a vid's soon.

Raaaaant lol. Had to do it. Anyway nice times. And Sandman I believe he was referring to the weight of the vehicle with the driver at 3690 lb.

Old school way of keeping temps down...160*, 103's, and race gas...I bet that thing would have gone low 13's on race gas and a 3.4".

The car loves the 160* in it and it hasnt given me a light yet and I only noticed a minimul decrerase in fuel mileage, and I run TR55 NGK's gapped at .045, I also use a mix of 93 and 104 @ a 50/50 level just to keep me safe. I am going to be installing a 3.4 and a set of 1.9 rockers over the winter. I am hoping to break 12s with that combo. Also going to go shorter on the tires to generate more gearing. 24.5" tall tires will change the final drive from 2.93 to 3.10.

You'll need to change that in the PCM too, keep in mind...your you'll bounce off the rev limiter. Also, race gas is only beneficial if your knocking...if your not knocking and using it...it is only going to hinder times, not help them...keep in mind.

This guy def sounds like he knows how to set up a car, and for the tire size change FVCKIN genius, why dont more people mess with tire sizing?!! 12's on a 3.4 with rockers would kick ass add in some E85 and tune and I bet you could easily knock .7 off your time to crack 12's :th_thumbsup-wink:

Thanks for all the compliments. I have been playing with 3800's for years now. Mainly with turbo buicks but these W body's seem to have some of the same manners.

As for the tires, they are 26x11.5x15 on 15x8 Draglites 5"BS fitment is usually mustangs, old nova's, cars of such sort that need high offset and skinny slicks. I also have intrigue 12" brakes so I had to run billet adapters too. 1" thick top be exact. I love being able to footbrake to 2000 rpm and just floor it.
