12" rear brake setup

Hello all. I have an Oldsmobile Intrigue that already has the 12" front brake upgrade and I want the rears to match before I put my rims on. I do understand there is very little to be gained messing with the rear brakes, I am doing it purely for looks. I have already ordered some Baer drilled rotors from a 2008 Pontiac G.P GXP, but I am having a hard time finding calipers and brackets at a reasonable price. I have found them remanufactured for about $170.00 for a single, but have a few questions.
1. Does anyone know if my old brake calipers will be accepted as a core since they aren't the same type of caliper I will be buying.
2. Anyone who has done this swap on the rear where did you find your calipers, did they include brackets?

I read through the "Big Bad Brake" thread but did not find the answers I'm looking for. Thanks for any help!

1. You have to ask whomever you're purchasing from this.
2. I have GXP brakes F&R, they definitely are worth it for looks alone. I got all my braking components from ZZP, so I can't really help for "on the cheap", but why don't you check out some local junkyards?
A lot of GM big brakes are interchangeable between many models including Cadillacs to Corvettes.

Thanks for the response, I was going to plan a u-pull visit this weekend in search, only problem is the only campatible 12" rear brake swap that I know of comes from the 2005-08 GXP, which my local u-pull says they have none. May just have to spend the $$.

Most of them are gone now and a lot of junkyards miss label them.

I called about 50 yards to find the ones for the Buick. You can find the calipers all day long new on the internet but you will have to pay a core charge and unless you got money to blow. It's really not worth it.

Either way I can get everything I need to $100-150 cheaper than what vendors are asking, and although pricey, I think the rear brakes look terrible after swaping for 12" in the front and I have stock 16" Intrigue rims on, can only imagine with 18"s.
