• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

After a 12.66 pass i felt as there was much more left in the car. So I headed back to the track with better weather (DA was in the 1200's)

First Pass:

1.80 60'
12.50 1/4 mile
108.36 mph.

I was super excited after that pass.....and should have drove it home....but I stayed

the next Pass I launched it on the converter about 2700 RPM, once it got out of the hole I went WOT.....and then free revving.....

so instead of driving home....

not to many people break the output shaft......I can cross that one off the bucket list

Damn that blows but even still you made a nice ass pass without adding anymore mods. Mid 12s on rockers is crazy with a weighty bonneville at that.

At least that's and easy fix and not a mega buck one either. IIRC you can fix that with the trans in the car? Nice times and the 60 ft. looks awesome considering the weight of that thing!

Nice replacement.
So GMR 1" chain (should never fail)
300M input shaft (after you killed 2-3)
Reluctor welded to drive gear (Cause your my buddy)
GM Torsen Diff (Also..cause your my buddy, and you killed one of my diffs)
TEP HD TC (Purchased, so there would never be an issue with big fat car)

Next weakest link... please come to the front of the line and show yourself.

I'm kinda waiting on the throttle cable to snap from you giving it whiplash.

I had a throttle bracket snap on me...that's fun.

And yeah, that's a crazy clean break...got mid 12's though, right on man.

Car was moving out that night Pat - if you wouldn't have broken it would've gone 12.4x for sure as the air got better. Track prep was insane that night. Easily the best I've ever raced in.
If you plan on heading back out this year, let me know. I'm planning on this Saturday if the weather holds.

Here's a pre-carnage pic of your car with my heap from that night:

I actually wanted a Bonnie for my first car, prefferably an SSEI, but an SLE would've worked too. Instead I got stuck with this Grand Prix GT (proud to be N/A in this world of forced induction tho). Great times for a big ol' car like that. Good job on the break too...don't think I've ever heard of that happening.

hahaha.. looks like the IC has 1/2" clearance

Yep - not enough to clear the ramp to get on a flatbed - which is why we had to scramble to get the spring blockers out of the back coils to eliminate some of the rake and give it more clearance before the truck showed up.

Yeah, I was chatting with him and it sounded pretty funny. Airing the tires back up, fixing rake, etc.. Then ending up with a super cool guy that knows how to load/work with a car w/o screwing it up.
