• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1.9 rockers

Well how would u get a spring compressor tool in if the heads are on? The bottom end of the tool butts up to the bottom of the valve and the top of the tool compresses the retainer down, the valve locks pop out. Vuahala. But thats if the heads are off.

Maybe i just dont get it.

where would i get the tool at? cause i only know of the one that you use when the head is off.

make one. it takes a plate with a slot in it and a rocker bolt through the plate. will cost you $2 to make. all you want to do is push the spring down enough so you can get the locks out.

I need to find the ambition to pull the rockers off my head to sell. My heads are just sitting on a table in my garage.

i dont know about getting the springs on.....

but i got them off with this

i wouldent recemend putting it back on this way tho :D

the spring compressor tool i got from autozone sucked so i used this method on the spare set of heads i have. it actually worked liked a charm.

would anyone want to help me put the rockers on when i get them? i know how to do them i would just like to have someone else that has done them before or know how to do them so i don't mess anything up to bad.
