08 GXP winter rims/how small can I go?

I had a 04 gp and had bought brand new 16" steel rims with brand new blizzacks...now I traded that in for an 08 GXP...of course the 16" steeleis don't fit over the front brake caliper, but does anyone know if maybe a set of stock 16" gp wheels would fit?

I only ask, as in the case of my Daytona, for my slicks, I can't fit 15' steelies on it as they'll rub on ther brakes, but I can fit 15" stock wheels on it as they provide more clearance.

Would this be the same case? I really don't want to go out and buy new winter tires and rims..again

Because--> I had a 04 gp and had bought brand new 16" steel rims with brand new blizzacks

Maybe you've had better luck fitting a 16" tire on a 17" rim :th_scratchhead: He needs to get new 17" winter tires to match the 17" winter rims he is needing, which he could possibly pick up the rims on CL as you stated.

No, he would probably have better luck selling the 16" rims/tires and getting some 17s:th_thumb-up:
