08 GXP Monsoon Stereo Question

I'm buying an 08 GXP this weekend and has the Monsoon stereo. When I looked online it looks like there are about 3 different headunits that were used on this generation. My question is I see some with the head unit you'd see in like the 03-07 Silverado, then the nav unit, then of course the one that I have which appears to be the older style headunit.

Help me out here guys. Which headunit has the Monsoon system?

Pretty sure I have the Monsoon system (look at the top of the dash), I think yours is the Monsoon with the XM Radio option.

My mind has officially been blown. That's definitely Monsoon with the extra speaker up there, unless the radio was switched out. It have the amp in the trunk under where the rear speakers are? You could run the VIN, if I remember right on the 6th gens that told you if it had Bose, and on the 7ths it should tell if it had factory Monsoon as well.

Also, that radio I posted isn't limited to Monsoon with XM. I have a friend with an '04 that has Monsoon (with the extra speaker, trunk amp, the image I posted radio) and he doesn't have XM. I guess I just had always assumed that it only had Monsoon if it had that radio... you gotta see if that radio is factory, I'm dying of curiosity, lol.

I'm also really curious how many GXPs had the tan/black interior, I know some VIN checkers will tell you how many cars exist with your options and such. I didn't even know it was an option... lol

For some reason I really want to start collecting information on 7th gens about options and combos, I think it'd be fun, lol. Maybe compile a book! haha

Oh, another thing. My parent's '07 GT has XM without Monsoon and with the "normal" radio.

So, what radio/speaker combos were there?

6 disc with Monsoon is one, apparently regular single disc with Monsoon is another

Was there 6 disc radio without Monsoon?
