08 GXP Healight issues

Hey guys, it's been a LONG time since I've been on here. Sold my GT-1 awhile back and dropped off the forums. Weelll I'm back and with an 08' GXP this time lol. Unfortunately she's got an issue. Whenever my headlights are on (either auto mode or manual) they will switch form low beams to high when I engage my turn signals or just at random. This is sort of unnerving when I'm passing someone and give them the holy death beam of eternity in their rear view. They also go to high beam as soon as the lights auto activate at dusk. I've searched online for a solution to no avail and haven't found anything on the forums either. If there is a thread on this already then I apologize in advance and ask that you direct me to it. Thanks and it's good to be back.
 


When you turn the brights on manually and then use your turn signal does it have any affect on the brights? Sounds like you may need a new turn signal switch. They are about 50 bucks shipping for parts direct (might be cheaper elsewhere). If its random does it happen when parked or driving? Try to wiggle the switch a bit and see it that has any affect. I am wondering if the motion of driving is causing the randomness when not using the turn signal.

My wifes 06 Impala did the exact same thing. She had to refrain from using her turn signal till I replaced the switch.

It could also be some short somewhere else.
 
My problem sounds exactly like your wife's. Going to order the oem replacement part tonight. I've checked all the fuses and relays so the switch seems to be the culprit.
