I see this guy in a g8 everyday on my way to work in the morn. I caught him side by side at a light and blew my horn. I said "man that's a nice car, I look to own one in the next 2 years, he sais yea I love it, nice grand am, I was like hey!!!! Its a grand prix!! He laughed. Lol. So I asked if he wanted to run to the next light, he said yea what do you have. I told him a fwi that's it. The light turned grren, we both hit it and.........

Man he whooooooooppppeeedddd......my....assssssssss!!!! It was pretty bad lol. I held with him for like 3 freggin seconds and he pulled away hard. Those things are quick man geeze. At the next light I said, I knew you would beat me. I just wanted to run with my cars replacement. He laughed and said anytime lol. Just wanted to share that.
 


Lol. I wasnt surprised either lol. Like I said I just wanted to run with my cars replacement by pontiac. Lol. I really like that freggin car!!!

You and me both. They seem to lose value pretty fast from what I've seen. I want to get one in about 2 years. I should find an 08 for a good price by then. I love that car. Love the gp but dam I want a g8.

And of course I knew I would lose. My car probably can't beat the base model g8. Lol.

I know what ill do with 400+hp. Put on my d-bad shades, drive slow, and only race basemodel cobalts. J/k

I test drove a g8 gt the other day. Damn it was quick, it has lots of torque, when i hit it at 40 using triptronic it through me in the seat, quite impressive.

im with ya i cant wait to get my hands on one, if everything goes as planned hopefully within the next 2yrs to. im hoping i find a bag of money or sumthin lol but the g8 gxp is diff. my next car

Exactly. I mean I seen a gt with the 6.0 for 23k. It only had 5k miles. So that value droppppps. Its an 08, so I know in 2 years I should be able to find a gt for like 16-17. Gxp for 18-20 maybe? Still certified, 5 year 100k warranty, 1 yr bumper to bumper. Not a bad deal. And a little bonus for going back to gm, and going back to the same dealer. Hopefully by then the pontiac/buick/gmc dealer I bought my gp from will have a nice shiny greystone G8 for me!! Dang I wish I could use the gm discount for used cars. Lol.
 
yea thats what im thinking to because of GMs condition...

whoa...u saw one of 23k dang!!! the lowest ive seen so far was 08 gt for like 27k with a little over 1k in miles

Yea, seriously. At a car lot in ohio. It was posted on auto trader. Its gone now. It was red. Ill look tomorrrow and c if I can find a another one for around that price again.
 
Sure it wasnt a GT? The GXP's go for no LESS than 35 grand anywhere from what I have seen...

Actually...a good race you be a bolt-ons GTP vs. a GXP Grand Prix...the G8 GT ran 13's...no WAY a GXP could touch 13's stock ;)
 


Yea, I said gt. Not the 6.2 ltr. I said the 6.0. Man if I seen a 6.2 for freggin 23k id sell my kids on ebay and tell my wife to get a life!!! Lol j/k, no for real tho it was a gt. If I said gxp sorry. I mean gt
 
Oh its kewl...I just wasn't sure since you had started the thread about a GXP and I kinda figured we were still talkin' about it...
 
Its cool beans!!! Like a few post ahead I put 6.0, I had to double check mysself lolol.
Updated, I just checked auto trader again, only 6or7 came up a few months ago, now there's like 40 within 50 miles of me. The cheapest was a stock G8 for 20k, GT for 24, both under 13k miles.
The one I found a few months ago for 23k is long gone. That was a red one. But the white one I seen today for 24 wasn't too far off. Its the gt also 6.0
