okay.. so i've been talking to marine and he says his car doesn't do this.. i have it pretty well floored.. but not all the way and you'll see in the video that the rpms spike and then drop.. on the 3rd (last) time i do it. so is that not normal or why is it "cutting power" i am just in normal Drive mode and not in manual or anything.

also. anyone know much about the pressure regulator on the tranny. my dad has thought that that might be whats wrong with my so called "slipping" problem. what will happen now and then will i'll be to a stop or almost to a stop.. and i'll go to accelerate and it won't very fast or normally. the rmps will go up and sometimes it'll just suddenly 'engage' and accelerate and sometime i let off quick enough and then it'll be fine to accelerate after i do that. any ideas. could it be the pressure regulator or something? tell me if i need to try and explain it another way or better. ask me questions if you have them.

Looks like torque management is trying to not let you kill the transmission.

Cuts power to not allow wheel spin. Even though you turned traction control off, its never fully off.

Re: '07 GXP - Dipped Wheels *pics*

i knew i was gonna get sh!t for music again.. i forget to kill it while i record. next i will. but thats what i was thinking about that traction control is never fully off.. but then why does it let it go the first 2 times i do it?

Re: '07 GXP - Dipped Wheels *pics*

anyone have any thoughts on the pressure regulator on the tranny? that's my main concern. or maybe its not the PR...

Youre stock right? marines car has a overkill tune so big diffrence there. The stock tune believe it or not has a **** ton of KR While also involving alot of tourqe managment and really slow Knock retard settings. couple that with Diff score protection to keep the diff from blowing up and thats what gives you that "pulse" when you floor it and it dips back like that. You need a tune man then you can floor it till your hearts content

thanks for your answer. clears up a lot of stuff and questions. i forgot that he has an over kill tune. i'm looking at possibly getting a tuner so i could tune my own stuff and eventually anyone else's too.

also, i usually don't floor it all that often.. i'm getting new tires come fall.. so i'm not caring too much about these tires since they are crappy already.

Does this sound about right?
No Forward Cold

it sounds about right.. maybe not the clutch piston but maybe the boost valve in the valve body... its not that i can't move at all.. its more of i can't go very fast.. so maybe like it says.. its the lesser of the problem being it could be the valve. you know how much of a PITA it is to replace the valve and/or the clutch piston seal? i also just changed my tranny fluid the past weekend and its happened about 3 times since then. i'll maybe cut open my old tranny filter too to see if i can see how bad it is.
