See...it's possible and while it seemed pretty elaborate and crazy your first time. Imagine how the second time it'll be easier.

I'm with you on kicking the engineer that decided the radiator support needed to be bolted to the subframe....right in the dick! I really dislike seeing that on a GP. Add around another 30min/hour to the job for a worthless little pos.

the second time will be a lot easier and it was good for me to experience how everything goes in there. It was a pain at the time and stressful just cause i had a time frame to do it in and was rushed. but it was a good experience. props to guys like you bill that do this crap everyday.

i would kick him twice. my finger tips don't have any more skin on them trying to get them out. got an air ratchet in there to put them in luckily but getting them out i was ratcheting them by hand... and yes. they are a worthless little things. added 30 mins probs... but we had a total of 3 guys working on this thing at once so everyone was doing something pretty much the whole time.

I don't do this everyday. Hell no.. I sit in a nice office, dressed up, behind a pc. I do this crap on the side, and realize I did it way too much.

Those effin brackets though. Piss me off everytime I see those. The 97-03's didn't have anything in the way of the subframe bolts. Just 18mm and poof it's down.

So if I were to just not hook them back up id be fine? I'm gonna drop my sub frame when I get the time (more or less finally go do it) to replace my rack and pinion and at the same time I'm gonna swap my motor mounts with the ones I'm making and also put on some zzp lca's

Well...don't take them off. To lower the back..you don't have to unbolt the front.

I figured it be easier to change the front motor mount with the entire frame dropped down? I know how to on the 3.8 and I didn't need to but it looks like the 5.3 would be easier if the front and rear are lower

The motor mounts are cake with the subframe still in place those dumb subframe to radiator support brackets probably would've been easier to just take off the bumper

was home on saturday and did a little alignment so my steer wheel is a little better now. found this while doing some stuff.

need a new tie rod..

so thats added to the list.

but on the new wipers and they are huge things.. kinda an eye sore on the car but they work great. they just stick out more than the old ones did.

can't wait till schools over so i can be home and start doing some work.

I was really thinking the same thing. How is that tie rod deemed bad? I know the boot looks a little wavy but mine's no better. I go by play in the steering.

Have u grabbed the tire at the 9 and 3 o'clock and pushed on one side and pulled on the other several times to see if it has play in it
