Hello to the forum.
My beloved 99 Regal GS is just getting too many miles to be a daily driver . I really like the L67 engine and have been looking at 04, 05 GTPs.

I noticed the 06 and 07 GP GTs also have the L67/L32 engine. My question is are these basically a GTP or are there suspension, brake, wheel, or ??? differences that make them different than the older GTP model?

Also test drove an 07 GXP, it would blow the doors off my modded GS.
Bigger $$ and less gas mileage tho.

the 04+ cars have the l32 motor. the 06/07 GT has an l32 as well. they are identical to the older GTPs.

your modded GS would blow the doors off a GXP. for sure.

I know the engines are the same, other than the differences of the L67 and the L32 , but...

There are more differences between an SE and a GTP than the engine.

Does the 07 GT have the suspension, brake , tranny upgrades a GTP would have or is it just a plain GP with a bigger engine?

>lmao, regals look so fat. lol

It has been a fun sleeper-mobile, easier to work on than my son's 97 GTP, very comfortable for my 30 mile trip to work.

Not to mention the looks I get when grandpa go WOT.:th_winking:

I have a 07 GT....I HAD a 05 GTP. They are the same! The only difference is symbol in the middle of the steering wheel...the symbol on the middle of the rim. I havent noticed anything else. My 05 GTP had the GenV M90 my 07 Has the GenV M90. Pontiac just dropped the "P". Another difference is for some reason they made no tuning tools for the 06+ but you can however use a 04-05 PCM in the 07 and it works! The only trouble is your gas gauge will read backwards but if you use EFILive it will correct that!!
