'07 Grand Prix issue

Noob here!

Just traded for an '07 Grand Prix a couple of months ago and for the last few weeks have noticed a thud-thud-thud sound coming from the car while it is moving. The noise speeds up and slows down with the car. It sounds to me like it is coming from the front-driver's side. My wife says it sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car. Noise travels through a car weird, I guess. I would say that it is coming from the front though. Brakes, rotor, bearings, cv joints??? Any suggestions??

There is also a clunking noise when turning at very slow speeds (like when I back out of the driveway). Doesn't do it any other time.

All help will be appreciated.
 


the thud - thud sound is kinda hard to give any real ideas right off my head, except for maybe flat spots on the tire? try rotating the tires, see if the noise moves.

the clunk could be a broken sway bar end link. you need to look at it. if you turn the tires to the right, and look from behind the tire you can see the drives side end link, same for the pass side. you'll have to lay on the ground and sneak your head around the tire some.
 
Check lugnut torque. If they are properly tightened make sure your caliper brakcet bolts are not missing. I had one back out adn disappear and it would thunk in reverse and when I hit bumps.
