• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

07 Grand Prix GT 3.5 Pulley

so no-one thinks that I should trust the dealer and drop it down with no mods? Why would they say that it's ok?

headers are the best way. cause if you pass the mod limit of the manifolds you will need them anyways. mine as well go ahead and get them now

Think of it this way. By dropping down to a 3.5" pulley you are asking your supercharger to work 30% harder than before. This is going to put a substantial amount of extra pressure on the rest of your engine. If you don't take precautionary measures to beef up your engine then its not going to be able to handle it.

I'm dropping down to a 3.5" pulley in the coming weeks, but not before I ordered a downpipe, intake, front powerlog, plugs, wires, thermostat and tune to beef up the rest of my engine. I know my car will handle the 3.5" now. Trust me I researched for about 7 months before I decided what to buy. You could probably skip out on on the front powerlog if you want...

just add it in.. i mean its home made. so make it in there..

if anything. connect the filter to the maf. connect the tubing to the maf.

im working on my homemade CAI, all u need is a air-filter, some heat resistant padding and alil creativity. although i wont get to work on it until sunday maybe.

haha blowfish, i'm on 12hr shift....man i hope wally-world will have something to protect the heat from, cause the auto store is probably close since it'll be sunday....

Tell the dealer to put in writing that it's safe and it won't affect your warranty. I bet they sing a different tune then. :th_winking:

just finished my fender intake. Just $11 for supplies at the home depot and three hours to perfect the routing. Whistles like a champ!! I bolted the PCM to the spot where it sat before, no cover though. I did the same with my 02 impala ls and the pcm worked fine and never got wet.

You need to scan. You could be fine with a 3.5 and no supporting mods. It just depends. No one can tell you what you can and can't do not knowing how much kr you do or don't have.
