07 gp gt no date or month on display after replaceing hu

i just replaced the stock head unit in my 07 grand prix. i used the intergration kit to plug it all in so it would still have the chimes. it doesn't have onstar or a monsoon system. wondering how or if it can be fixed to display the month and date again. thanks
 


To my knowledge, there isnt a single interface that retains date and time. It is the factory radio that retains these two things.
 
Yea you need the factory radio in order to retain this. I relocated my factory to my trunk but still had to set the date and time on it in order for my display up front to show the correct day (M-F) and date. Cost more to relocate the factory but its worth it imo.
 
decker04 as far as i've figured out thru my 06, so far there's nothing u can do...I was alil upset because I always kept my date and time on DIC but now I just keep battery volts or boost meter :D
