07 Exhaust work

Currently I own a 2007 n/a grand prix. im looking into modifications and I'm trying to decide either to get headers for the car or get a downpipe with plog because from what i understand its either one or the other. Right now my only mods that have been done to the car are a cai and er rockers.

What I'm trying to do is get the best combination so i will have the best air flow when i install the hv3.

Anything else anyone would suggest is appreciated.

Well if you have rockers then your car is probably already not running to great not being able to get rid of all the extra air IMO. Unless you plan on a top swap headers are pointless. Get a 3" DP and PLOG with the HV3...
 
Well i can still see and feel a bit of a difference with the rockers the way the car runs now. Should I change the entire exhaust before getting the dp and plog to like a high flow system?
 
no.......the exhaust behind the downpipe area is quite good flowing stock, they are good until 350+HP.......so you will be fine with the rest of the exhaust. You will need a downpipe, plog, for the NA setup to get that air out of the motor in it. I would also recommend an HV3 insert after the DP and Plog are in. Also, of course, a tune is very important too.....
