'06 scooby 2.5i, stock and sold

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

i have a 225 on my 8" wheel on my car now. it's not stretched at all.

bulging tires are for dudes that don't want to go low or turn corners. fact.

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

ill be on 245's as soon as i have the $ but for now, ill rock the 255's/225's

are you going to leave those rims that chrome-ish color?

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

225's belong on 7" or 7.5" max.

For an 8 you should be around 235-255.

The 05-07 STi's stock wheel width is 8" and the stock tire size is 225/45/17. I'd say he's fine running a 225 if Subaru Technica International puts tires that size on their cars.

I'm running 225/45's on both of my 17x8 sets of wheels. Thought about getting 245's just for the look but have no reason to.

traction is pretty hard to break when you have AWD. don't need beefy tires.

Lets take the pilot sport a/s plus:

225/60r16 6" - 8" as per manu.

225/45r17 7" - 8.5" as per manu.

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

projects to come since im bored and want to do something to the car:

- lowering the car more. this consists of adding more preload as well so i dont smash my axles. probably another 1/2" at least.
- want to make a custom plaid shift/e brake boot set.
- need to get a new shift knob, and potentially make a beer tap shift knob to screw on for shows.

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

lower is happening this weekend maybe. tonight im gonna stop by the crafts/materials store to see if they have any plaid material that i'd like. i need to find something fairly thick for it to look right.

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

still waiting for lower.... in the meantime.....

Re: my 2006 scoobie: so fresh and so clean.

i was already in the fabric store. it was just hard finding something thick enough in the right style. i've got it though, probably won't get to it for a little while though.

ordered two new shift knobs today. a nice extra heavy one for daily driving cause im sick of the light one i have now and a giant awesome beer tap handle to screw in for shows.

pictures to come later!
