Re: my 2006 scoobie

haha i wanna see some obnoxiously large turbo on this thing by april 1st!

do you also want to see a block with no pistons? SUPPOSEDLY the high compression blocks only take a few pounds of boost before they start getting angry. whether or not this is true, i did not buy a turbo and the car would never get a turbo since i want to put a blower on it anyway. more predictable power curve and it's more unique.

however, since you dummys need reassurance all the time, here is what i bought:

Coilover Kit for Subaru Impreza RS WRX STI 2nd Gen

they are cheap, very cheap. from all the reviews ive read they go massively low without much effort and because of the valving on the struts (which are inserts that i can change out later for nicer inserts ;)) they are pretty soft. some say they rode better than their stock springs. i am going to get them, take some pictures, and install and ride them OUT OF THE BOX for a little while to see if i like the settings how they are from the factory. then i will slam the **** out of the car and see how they ride then. assuming i will hate it when it is that low or i wont be able to get in and out of my driveway, i will raise it up to a happy medium.

by no means will these coils be anything useful for a track, but for getting my car nice and low the price is 1000% right. they are just to cheap to not try out. hell, if they suck balls ill just sell them to someone for half the price and use that money to buy a set of springs and put them on my stock struts and be done with it. we'll see when they show up and eventually make their way onto my car.

Re: my 2006 scoobie

Mine are double that price...wth.

Find me some cheap coilovers...I hate you and your deals.

Re: my 2006 scoobie

literally too cheap to pass up. if they ride okay and last i might as well just continue running them. even if i destroy them in the winter they are so cheap i could just buy a new set.

a set of springs was like $265, for $455 i cant go wrong trying these out.

Re: my 2006 scoobie

My dad has a NA forester. I once asked him "how is the powerband in this thing?" He responded "ahh non-existant". Which I thought was funny.

I like the general front/grill on urs much better than the new style. Nice grill you got.

the powerband thing is true. it pulls strong from lik 3000-3400 then falls on its face when you pass 5000.

thanks about the grill. that's all paint by yours truly.

Re: my 2006 scoobie

Your item has been shipped for Item # 13165561 - Coilover Kit for Subaru Impreza RS WRX STI 2nd Gen

told you these guys were fast. i should have these next week sometime.

Re: my 2006 scoobie

they wont leave them at my house without me being here. 100% that ill have to pick them up from them.

Re: my 2006 scoobie

well, knowing that the coilovers are in one big box, there is no possiblity of them shipping three and holding one. ill have to make an effort to try and pick them up tomorrow if i can.
